It was wonderful having Dr Perry Nickelston back on the show to go deeper into the conversation on healing all things chronic – whether it’s pain, disease, systemic inflammation… We dive into a deeper look at how detoxification channel impairment – especially from the brain – can be a hindrance to healing, and we look at some of the most effective ways to promote healing, oxygenation, cell hydration, and more in today’s show. Questions I asked Perry:

  • Brain. Why it gets clogged up.
  • How we can encourage detoxification.
  • What this has to do with pain. Nervous system and pain – what are the nerves we need to know and how can we nourish them and create stress flexibility?
  • Why does our nervous system get so caught up in believing on our behalf that things are dangerous (neuroception) – even when they’re not?

  • And so when it comes to pain can we be ‘stuck’ in physical pain as it gets stuck in sympathetic nervous system dominance?

I was told by a remedial masseuse (?) a few years back that my lymphatic was blocked, and this is life changing for me!! Thanks so much, and I love that it is free and easy for me to do each day.

  2. Listening to Dr Perry’s podcasts on your show was my lightbulb moment for what I was missing in my recovery journey from CIRS. I was doing “all the right things” but not seeing much progress. In the past couple of days since listening I started implementing changes, adding more movement and lymph exercises and straight away I can feel that there’s been a release of extra toxins in my body. I feel absolutely awful but I know that’s a good thing as it means I’m on the mend.
