What is an ex-criminal lawyer doing on the podcast you ask? Well, Dr Ali Walker wasn’t satisfied in that line of work and went on to study executive coaching and obtain a PhD in group dynamics. She wants all of us to have a framework and literacy around our own personality, energy, communication style and how we can contribute to group dynamics with our eyes wide open as well as understanding others better – at work, in our families in leadership. You’ll learn about high, mid and low-frequency types, as well as high, mid and low-intensity types and how we are all one of each in different combinations. You’ll even see Ali profile me live and absolutely nail my frequency and intensity combo type. Very cool. Knowing ourselves and being able to spot other people’s types helps us understand each other rather than have unnecessary misunderstandings and friction – Ali will help you take things way less personally about other people’s behaviour. About Dr Ali Walker
As one of five children, Dr Ali Walker developed an interest in group dynamics and human behaviour early in life around a very lively dinner table. Originally a criminal lawyer, Ali has a PhD in group dynamics from the Australian National University. Ali is a mediator and the founder of Ality, a company that designs personality assessments and wellbeing platforms to identify how we connect with others and our motivational drivers. She has delivered leadership programs and workshops to over 100,000 people throughout her career across organisations such as multinational companies, government departments, not for profits, universities, schools, hospitals, corrective services and juvenile justice facilities. Ali is also the author of Get Conscious: How to stop overthinking and come alive. Ali lives in Sydney with her husband, two sons and groodle. She is a Light type: high frequency and high intensity.
