LISTEN TO THIS WEEK’S SHOW ON iTUNES, STITCHER OR SPOTIFY OR LISTEN RIGHT HERE:

New music for the show, by LIOR.

We have a new tune for our show to welcome the new year! An old friend of mine from uni happens to be one of Australia’s finest artists, Lior, and as I love supporting local artists and it’s been brilliant having Melanie Horsnell’s music on the show the past couple of years, for 2023/24 it will be Lior. You will hear excerpts from his track “Caught Up”  – go check it out on iTunes or Spotify if you want to hear the whole song or album, Scattered Reflections. Co-written with Cameron Deyell, it’s a great song and I love the reflective energy of it – perfect for the show, right? Enjoy. Lior is always touring, so do check out his website. It is wonderful to hear him sing live, trust me.

And on this week’s show!

This week I invite my friend and colleague Jules Galloway, naturopath & herbalist onto the show to discuss our journeys in late diagnosis ADHD this past year. We don’t have all the answers. There aren’t protocols we’re sharing or ways of ‘getting rid of the symptoms’ but it’s an exploration of why we both chose to get diagnosed, some of the things we’ve been exploring, thinking and feeling as we’ve looked back at our lives, and where we’ve arrived in places – also admitting there’s still so much to unpack. I will also record a personal show in a couple of weeks with audience questions that have come from Instagram and that will come from the community once you’ve listened to this one. Jules and per husband James Galloway, also host a podcast called LD ADHD which you can go and explore. Please do get the support you need – life is much better when we know and accept ourselves and also feel empowered to change what we can for the better, through support, therapies and various other tools.

More About Jules Galloway

Jules Galloway is a straight-talking naturopath, speaker, mentor, and podcaster.

With over 15 years of industry experience, Jules has made it her mission to help people recover from fatigue, burnout, and complex health issues. She’s guided thousands back to health through her eCourses, eBooks, and podcast. She also sees clients 1:1 via Zoom.

As a mentor, she is passionate about inspiring and guiding the next generation of new and emerging practitioners to show up online and become confident in speaking out. Her dream is for ALL practitioners to be able to create a wildly successful and rewarding business that they love… without burning out, and for our industry to be one that embraces collaboration and connection rather than competition.

You can connect with her on Facebook and on Insta @julesgallowayhealth
And I mentioned a psychiatrist who explains very well the difference between the medications available. That’s HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w44BXLATt5w
And the neurotransmitter panel you can do (in Australia, will be different around the world but look for a urine panel wherever you are) is the Nutripath panel through your health practitioner. This can show you if seratonin is low as well as the dopamine/norepinephrine to know how to best support either naturally or through medication in terms of deciding the suitability of each one. My psychiatrist didn’t even know it existed so she was happy to learn of it. I’d done one in the mould crisis year… All 3 were and still were years later, very low for me despite all my amazing support work on gut/body/brain…

  1. This was a great discussion, so many of the traits you talked about sounded like my husband, who is Dyslexic but there was so many similarities. Thanks xx
