One of the things about wanting to make a change when it comes to the food we buy is finding quality sources without having to scour the internet for hours or get duped by greenwashing terms like ‘farm raised’ or ‘grown naturally’ which can often land the most well-intentioned among us, well and truly tricked!
My new book, Low Tox Life: FOOD helps us focus on the three things that unite all eaters in striving for better health, a strong future for our planet and better treatment of animals and those are:
- Addressing and dramatically reducing the reliance on ultra-processed foods, which make up 60% of the average shopping trolley here, in the UK and the US.
- Eliminating waste – getting savvier in the kitchen, making the most of everything we buy instead of wasting 1 in 5 shopping bags worth, and starting that compost or worm farm you’ve been meaning to start for years now!
- Upgrading our sources of food to be from regenerative farming methods, rather than extractive ones.
This post has you covered on your quest to connect with regenerative producers and suppliers. Thank you to everyone for letting us know where you shop from to get great quality fruit, veg, meat, fish and pantry staples already. I hope you find it useful and if there’s someone you don’t see on the list here that you know for a fact is farming for biodiversity, soil health and carbon sequestration, then give them a shout out in the comments and we’ll update the post over time to include them all.
We need to create a bigger and bigger market for farmers to transition to these methods and if all you can do is switch up a couple of things for now, then let that be enough and make that important change.

Ethical, grass-fed, pasture-raised meat
Remember sometimes butchers/meat purveyors will stock a few things that aren’t ideal. For beef/lamb you want grass fed/pasture raised – organic can sometimes mean the animals are not fed their natural grass diet and fed organic grains, so “organic” isn’t always ideal for beef/lamb.
For chicken/pork organic or biodynamic or really knowing your farmer is important, as these animals can be supplemented grain mixes containing genetically modified corn and soy.
Always best to gently ask until you decide on your firm-favourite suppliers.

Remember – often you still have to ask if it’s wild caught, local, and be wary of marinara mixes which often contain a blend of overseas and local fish/seafood – better to make your own!

Country Meats Direct has amazing pasture fed beef, lamb & pork bulk packs fresh from the farm. You can also buy specific cuts of meat, eggs, and other products. We love it. We’re in Sydney, I’m sure they deliver other places in NSW also.
Wholefood Merchants has amazing organic fruit and veg, meat, pantry staples and is an awesome resource for allergies. Its in Ferntree Gully, Victoria.
Dirty Clean Food, WA: stock and deliver meats, seafood, eggs, dairy, veg and fruit boxes from a range of regenerative and sustainable farms and farmers from the Great Southern, South West and Peel regions of WA.
Organic Fine Foods, WA: pork, chicken, eggs, beef, veg, preserves
Bannister Downs, WA: dairy
Moses an Co Market Wholefoods VIC have a store in the South Melbourne Market & also have an online store (can deliver non fridge items nationally). They have a great range of pantry staples & cater for all dietary restrictions…with great prices too!
Is there no WA options for a reason?
I’m also looking for WA suppliers…

Hi Penelope, this blog was a result of a survey I sent out to my database, which means that I didn’t have anyone from your state! If you have any suggestions to add, please comment on the post and we will add them as this will be regularly updated 🙂
I’ll send in a fabulous list for SA too, so we can share in the sharing 🙂

Thanks so much Megan x
Raven’s Creek Farm on the Surfcoast in Victoria is a regenerative farm producing free range pork and eggs.
WA seems to be missing here. As I’m in Perth and would LOVE to find more organic farm direct produce please could our WA producers give us some love on this list? Thanks!

Hi Jacki, the suggestions provided here were based on a survey I sent out, which means that the majority of my database is over this side! However, this is an evolving post, so if you have some gems to add to the list please comment and we will add them 🙂
A fantastic one to add to the NSW list of ‘Fruits, vegetables, and other fresh produce’ is Warrah Biodynamic Farm in Sydney. It is a social enterprise that employs people with disabilities to help farm and prepare fresh biodynamic and organic fruit and vegetable boxes.
Down to Eartn produce from Oberon NSW grass fed beef and lamb
