How is it approaching the end of May already – is anyone else astounded by the speed of this year too?
So, as usual, each month a few things have hit the desk, or piqued my interest on the news front, and so another month’s Low Tox Loving list is born – I hope you enjoy the collection of complete randomness, yet all to do with leading a low tox life for us and our beautiful planet.
1. Ettitude
An innovative, sustainable lifestyle label that specialises in organic bamboo bedding, sleepwear and bath essentials. Their products range from sheet sets to waffle-weave robes and towels to luxuriously soft pyjamas. Ettitude created the world’s first lyocell fabric made with 100% organic bamboo. It is an innovative, sustainable fabric exclusive to the brand. It is silky smooth and soft like clouds. It also offers other health benefits as it Is hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, thermoregulating and moisture-wicking. Bamboo lyocell is also known as the ‘vegan silk’, it’s purely plant-based and has the same beauty benefits as silk. Ettitude is generously offering 15% off the first order you place on the website with the code LOWTOX15. Shop here. (No minimum, can only be used once and not together with other discount codes).

2. Euca
We love Euca and their range of eco-friendly cleaning products. I recently was sent the laundry powder and dishwasher powder to try and I have to say, it’s very good and I would consider buying again for sure.
Euca is the real low tox deal and do not use Fillers, Zeolites, SLS, Enzymes or Palm oil, making their cleaning products highly suitable for those with skin conditions and allergies. Euca Laundry powder, detergents and soft wash are perfect for washing all your baby and children’s clothes and bed linen as it does not have all those “extra” chemicals and additives which can affect young and sensitive skin. And they don’t use any raw materials that have been tested on animals. The best bit? Euca is offering 15% off online purchases with the code 15%eucaonline. Click here to shop away!

3. Luxe Organics Self Discovery workshop
If you live in Sydney and you’re feeling like you need to schedule in a little rest and recuperation, or even time to get your health and mind in order then this could be the all-inclusive experience you need. Kim from Luxe Organics is putting on a beautiful one day retreat in Sydney on Saturday 25th May with the sole purpose of helping you create the life you want. If I wasn’t speaking across Tasmania that weekend, I’d be there in a heartbeat – no more guilt around self love and care. We need it and the world needs us to tend to ourselves so that we can show up more energised, aware and empowered. Did you know on google trends Women and Stress is one of the biggest searched topics? It’s got to change and fast.
In the words of Kim, “This will be a life-changing experience – one which will have you be in synchronicity in all areas of your life. Imagine waking every day knowing that you are in the flow with the Universe and that life is smooth and easy.” Sounds delicious, doesn’t it?
Mention my name ‘Alexx Stuart’ and/or Low Tox Life to get 10% off! Kim is a wonderful woman and this will be worth your time, Sydney siders!

4. Essential Oil for May: Present Time!
I have been wearing this as my perfume for a couple of months now. Rich in neroli (with a price tag to match, unfortunately, given the expense of growing, harvesting and distilling this beautiful blossom) Present Time™ helps you focus on the here and now so you can move beyond the past and progress forward. Interestingly, on that theme, it’s been since I committed to doing the Joe Dispenza meditations that I’ve been drawn to it and can’t go a day without using it. It’s all about leaving that past auto-pilot program we’re on and stepping into our future selves. This blend is balancing, calming, empowering and for me, promotes a deep sense of relaxation. Present Time is especially helpful for those who are dealing with buried emotions or those who have wandering minds – hello meditation, right?
ESSENTIAL OILS: Neroli, Northern Lights Black Spruce, Ylang Ylang
If you want more information on essential oils, I love and use Young Living and have done for nearly 5 years. Gary Young was a brilliant man who upped the industry standards and safety of essential oils – a true pioneer and a brand that I wholeheartedly support due to their ethical and environmental standards and practices as well as safe recommendations. You can read up on why I choose YL here
5. One million species at risk of extinction
Not a light topic but one we need to absorb if we’re going to act and vote differently with the biggest of pictures in mind: The health of our planet and its biodiversity. Read the full article HERE.
6. Jury gives $2 billion to pair who say Roundup weedkiller caused cancer
For the 3rd time this year, Bayer/Monsanto beaten in court. This is exciting times indeed. A farmer in our community commented today “About time. I can’t tell you how many farmer neighbours have died from or have had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Read the full article HERE
And it’s interesting to see that Bayer’s share price continues to drop as hundreds more RoundUp cases await their trials. If you’re still unclear on the impact RoundUp/Glyphosate can have on the health of our planet and people, my shows with Dr Zach Bush and Professor Michael Antoniou will help clear a path in your mind. The podcast directory is here.
And if you need a positive farming tune? Head to the podcast archives for my chat with Joel Salatin last year or Charlie Arnott last month. We can change the way we farm and it doesn’t have to cost MORE, in fact as Charlie, who’s a broad acre farmer in NSW has found, it actually costs LESS and you become more resilient in the face of drought. Imagine that!?
7. Biome’s DIY
I love BIOME and the work Tracey and her team do. Such high integrity and the expansion of their DIY offerings is huge this past year. SO many high-quality single ingredients you can purchase to mix your DIY products. Enjoy exploring what they have on offer for you to make your own products. And their brush section is to die for!
8. Book of the month: Naturally Inspired by Krissy Ballinger
Speaking of DIY products, the gorgeous Low Tox Alumni Krissy Ballinger has released a new book to inspire you to make your own products. So easy and gorgeous. If DIY is your thing or it’s not and you’re daunted but you desperately want it to be? This is the book for you. Get your copy HERE.
9. Changing the language on climate matters.
I was so pleased to see that THE GUARDIAN has updated it’s climate subject references to emphasise the urgency of the situation. Very cool. And for anyone who voted climate and is feeling disappointed, don’t despair. There is just so much we can do together and in our own little corners. In fact, you just might want to register your interest for the next item on the list!
10. Exciting new Low Tox Method coaching program is coming up.
In just two weeks, expressions of interest are going to open up for a passion project that was born in my mind just as I was writing my book. I get so many emails asking me to come to regional towns and I wish I could be everywhere but I can’t. I also know that many Low tox community members and Go Low Tox graduates, open your eyes to the world out there and start to feel a sense of purpose around playing a bigger game in this space – perhaps leaving your job and doing something more meaningful, or perhaps complementing the household income as a current stay at home parent. And so, in the Low Tox Method Coaching program, I’m going to teach you – me, teaching a very small group of 30 people from Mid July through to November in the art of teaching, small business ownership, values-based business building and a whole lot more. The small business, legal, political coaches joining me on the course are some of the most successful, big-hearted business people I have the pleasure of knowing. I’m excited. If your curiosity is piqued and you’d like to be the first to know, register your interest here and you’ll receive an email towards the end of the first week of June when the program’s information page goes live and applications open.
11. Gluten, nut and dairy free Apple Cinnamon Muffins
So there we go, hopefully, a few ideas to get the creative juices going, expand the mind and try new things. If you’re a small business owner with a wonderful low-tox product or service then please share with me below or pop us an email at [email protected]
